James Herbertson

Director - Bayswater Education, United Kingdom.

For the past 24 years James has been immersed in the study abroad and education industry. He has experience as a language student, agent, service provider, language school owner, and a trustee. In 2017 he co-founded Bayswater Education, the first Social Enterprise in International Education. For every student Bayswater teaches, they teach another from a disadvantaged background. The business is for-profit with a social mission at its core. James is also Secretary of Zimbabwe Rural Schools Development Programme (ZRSDP) a charity that builds schools and communities in rural Zimbabwe for the past 19 years. In 2011 he formed a relay team and together they swam the English Channel to raise funds. James is also a Director of BETA, the British Education Travel Association, and the Chair of EUK London. In 2018 he won the Champion of Change award at the Lead5050 awards and his claim to fame is he organised and broke the Guinness world record for the number of nationalities in a language lesson
